On the 11th September 2008, the Government announced the 'Home Energy
Saving Programme - a series of measures to help people become more energy efficient
and provide a long term solution to their rapidly inflating fuel bills.
The Energy
Saving Trust estimates that at present there are around 7 million
homes in the UK with
un-insulated cavity walls and almost 13 million who do
not have the standard minimum amount of loft insulation.
